I saw Dr, Bachmeier at St. Paul Eye Clinic today for a routine eye exam. I was really pleased from the time I checked until I set up another appointment on the way out. The receptionist was so pleasant, attentive and proficient. The doctor’s assistant who evaluated my eyes was really efficient. Then I saw Dr. Bachmeier and he was quite thorough and said I had a cloud behind my cataract that will need to come out by laser. I will do that next. It was a very good visit.

Although competency has always been at a high level here, the person before Sandy projected multiple times, a slightly cranky mood. Whether intended or not, it came off that way. Dr. Bachmeir is not my normal doctor, but mine was booked up for several months. I have to say it was a great exam. Dr. Bachmeir is friendly and attentive. He explained everything in detail and spent plenty of time with me. I give him an A+ Would definitely see him again if unable to get into my regular doctor - which may happen if she’s always booked out so far in advance.

The wait for my emergency visit was short and I was very satisfied with how quickly Dr. Bachmeier diagnosed and made a recommendation for my eye issue. He emailed a prescription to my pharmacy on the spot, such that by the time I got to my pharmacy, the prescription was almost ready for pickup. This was my first visit with Dr. Bachmeier due to a last minute visit because of a very blood shot eye. I was concerned because of a prior cornea transplant. After he examined my eye, he assured me that all was well with the transplant and that nothing serious was going on. He was very personable and reassuring.

Front desk staff was friendly and funny. Once checked in, his technician immediately got my kids back in the exam room and started the going through everything efficiently. She was very polite and great with my boys. Once she had completed all of her preliminary work, she notified Dr. Bachmeier, who was just moments away. It was a very good experience. Efficient. No waiting and waiting to get in the exam room. No waiting for the doctor to perform his exams and he was very clear in the post exam consults. I will take my boys back there again. They were very professional and respectful of my time.

I would give him the very highest rating. I came in on a Saturday having trouble reading after having my cataract surgery. Because the technicians who do their jobs are not normally there on Saturday he asked me if I was willing to wait and I could have a test done as someone who was there could administer the test, although her time.was limited.. She obliged (she was also excellent) and before I left he read the results and told me that I had cysts on my retina which is a scary diagnosis. He assured me that a retina specialist could help me with this condition. Had he not arranged to have me wait a bit I would have had to make another appointment, had my eyes dilated once again. By his taking the time to do this I was able to get an appointment with a retina doctor much sooner than I would have otherwise. I would recommend him very highly

Dr Bachmeier, St Paul Eye Clinic is professional and very welcoming toward his patients. He has performed several eye exams in the past and I have had excellent results in terms of my prescriptive glasses. He resolved an issue with a prior examination (different eye doctor) that had resulted in a miscalculation for the glasses prescribed.
