Scott Uttley, M.D.

Dr. Scott Uttley is a fellowship-trained and board-certified cornea specialist and LASIK surgeon.
Originally from New Mexico, Dr. Uttley graduated from New Mexico State University with a degree in Biochemistry and then obtained his Medical Degree from the University of New Mexico. After completing his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Uttley underwent specialized training in the highly regarded Cornea and Anterior Segment Fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Uttley joined St. Paul Eye Clinic in 2001. His specialty areas include corneal disease, cornea transplants, LASIK, cataract, and anterior segment surgery. He is co-medical director of the St. Paul Eye Clinic Laser Vision Center, and is VISX-certified to offer the latest in CustomVue Wavefront LASIK and PRK.
He operates at Midwest Surgery Center, Phillips Eye Institute, United and Children s Hospital, and St. Paul Surgery Center. Dr. Uttley also sees patients for comprehensive exams and contact lenses.
As Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota Medical School, Regions Hospital and the Veteran s Administration Hospital, Dr. Uttley is a noted lecturer to fellow ophthalmologists, residents, and medical students. He is Medical Director of the Ophthalmic Technician Certification Program for St. Paul Eye, and has given many lectures at the American Academy of Ophthalmology Annual Meeting.
Dr Uttley currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
