Aaron Tsai, M.D.
Dr. Aaron Tsai is a native Minnesotan, born and raised in Arden Hills. He attended Mounds View High School and graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Human Biology. He completed both Medical School and his Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota. He joined St. Paul Eye Clinic in 1999.
Dr. Tsai is an accomplished clinician and surgeon, specializing in cataract and refractive surgery, particularly LASIK, PRK, and PTK. He has performed over a thousand cataract and refractive procedures and is VISX-certified to offer the latest CustomVue Wavefront LASIK.
Dr. Tsai's special interests include diabetes, medical and laser treatments for glaucoma, pterygium surgery, and dry eye. He provides comprehensive ophthalmic care, including complete eye exams and contact lenses. He operates at Midwest Surgery Center, Phillips Eye Institute, St. Paul Surgery Center and United and Children's Hospitals.
Dr. Tsai is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology. As a Clinical Adjunct Instructor of the University of Minnesota Medical School, he actively mentors residents from United, St. John's, and St. Joseph's Hospitals, as well as medical students from the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Tsai, his wife, and their three young children make their home in Shoreview. He is a Sunday school teacher and deacon at church and enjoys golf, hockey, football, digital photography, and playing with his kids. Some of his most memorable medical experiences have come from medical missions trips to Nepal and Mongolia.
