Richard Stanek, M.D.

Dr. Richard Stanek has practiced ophthalmology with St. Paul Eye Clinic since 1984. He has been named a Top Doctor by Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine several times.

Dr. Stanek graduated summa cum laude with a degree in biology from the University of Minnesota. He also completed his medical degree and ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota Medical School.

He is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist, specializing in cataract and refractive surgery. He is one of the Twin Cities busiest eye surgeons, having performed several thousand procedures. He is VISX-certified to provide the latest in Customized Wavefront LASIK, PRK, and LASEK.

Dr. Stanek provides comprehensive ophthalmic care, including complete eye exams and contact lenses. He operates at Midwest Surgery Center, Phillips Eye Institute, St. Paul Surgery Center and United and Children s Hospitals.

As an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of the University of Minnesota Medical School, he actively mentors residents from United, St. John s, and St. Joseph s Hospitals, as well as medical students from the University of Minnesota.
