Dan Nichols , M.D.
Dr. Dan Nichols, a Minnesota native, graduated with a degree in Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota and then obtained his medical degree at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He completed a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Arizona and then pursued subspecialty glaucoma fellowship training at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.
Dr. Nichols is an experienced cataract, refractive, and glaucoma surgeon. He is VISX-certified in the latest CustomVue Wavefront LASIK and PRK, and has performed thousands of procedures.
Dr. Nichols has been a board-certified ophthalmologist since 1981, with extensive experience in both academic and private practice settings. He is currently an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota, and has given lectures and taught residents for many years. He also has written several ophthalmic papers and book chapters. He currently is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Association for Vision and Research in Ophthalmology, and the Ramsey Medical Society.
Dr. Nichols and his family live in Eagan. He enjoys playing golf.
